Let them eat Cake

Picture
I really want a 3-D cake of a tree, something unique and non-traditional for a wedding cake.  But Joel really wants a tiered cake.  In the latest issue of Seattle Bride & Groom, we found a "wooden" cake.  It was a great compromise and became exactly what we want.  We want an awesome autmun flavor on the inside also, to go with the theme of course!  We plan 4 tiers of wood blocks and some accents of colorful maple leaves and pinecones on top.

Some flavors we are concidering:
- Coffee spice cake with espresso bean mousse, layers of chocolate ganche & caramelized mocha buttercream.
- Dark chocolake cake with peanut butter mousse.
- Hazelnut cake with chocolate hazelnut mousse.
- Orange cake with white choclate raspberry mouse
